This week we have confirmed the venue for our 'Treasured Memories' project and it is in the stunning Eastbury Manor House, Barking. This striking Elizabethan merchant's house and gardens can be found hiding in plain sight in the heart of Barking surrounded by average everyday council housing. We are looking forward to this being our Wednesday home from the 26th of March for seven weeks!!
This beautifully restored house is steeped in history and rumor has it that Guy Faulks plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament at Eastbury Manor House.
A little bit more about the rich history of the house can be found on the London Borough of Barking and Dagenhams
website.
